A bunch of stylish stars headed to Biarritz to attend the Chanel Resort show and to work some Chanel for the cameras. Let’s see how they fared, shall we?
A$AP Rocky
Love the pieces he’s wearing, but the mismatched reds of the shoes and shirt kind of bug. The jacket is gorgeous. We don’t understand the bag situation at all. Obviously, we’re fine with any man who wants to carry a girly pink bag, but that looks like something for hauling around baby supplies.
Marion Cotillard
It’s got a low-key chicness to it, but it’s kind of boring. A dress like this needs a little more in the styling.
Michaela Coel
Like so. While we think the shoes are absolutely hideous, they do manage to keep the look from going completely generic. The earrings are gorgeous. So far, we’ve been clocking the return of sheer tights, mini-skirts and pop-of-color shoes to the trend wheel, but if chandelier-style earrings are also coming back, then we’re officially entering a fun fashion period.
Nicole Kidman
Boy, everybody sure is depressed in this seaside French town. Having said that, it’s pretty chic. The shape lends it all the interest it needs.
Sofia Copolla
We don’t think you can turn a classic Chanel tweed into a polo shirt. It just looks weird.
Tilda Swinton
Boy, does this all go south from the waist down. While there’s no reason why she can’t or shouldn’t wear minis, this style of skirt just doesn’t look like her at all. It also doesn’t really coordinate with the top half of the look, which is perfect for her. The shoes are an utter abomination. The whole point to putting up with a classic high heel design is that it prettifies the shape of the foot, to some. Why bother with the potential damage to your body if you’re just gonna make them look ugly?
