When we did our Cosmo writeup last night, we singled out these Thom Browne suits made for Boygenius members Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker. We thought they were a refreshing (if slight) change from the usual Browne aesthetic and that the three supergroup members were particularly well-suited to them.
We love that they’re ivory instead of the red carpet standard gray flannel most stars pick when they’re offered Thom Browne. We think the pink carnations are the perfect whimsically romantic touch, and we think the “Artists for Ceasefire” were appropriate, a little brave, and on point for the venue. But we didn’t realize until this morning that they’re rendered in moire silk, which just brings them to a whole new level of fabulous. Our only quibble lies with the footwear choices. We think there were better, less banged-ip options available. Just as we do with the guys in suits on red carpets, we think they all needed fresh from the box shoes with a larger silhouette.
