Poor Things star Emma Stone has always had a more interesting style than the average actress. “More interesting than she has to be” is the phrase that tends to come to our minds when assessing her style. By that we mean she could quite easily just rely on her looks and the vast array of options available to her from the fashion world because of her size and shape, or she could just as easily rely on nothing but prestige actress princess gowns to get the work done. Instead, she chooses stuff like this:

To be fair, her contract with Louis Vuitton, which is not a house that trades in dull or generic fashion, has quite a bit to do with how she dresses in public, but all of her public style, LV or not, has the same offbeat quality. She’s not a gal who’s going to rest on pretty or prestige. Anyway, we like this. We’re not a hundred percent on the satin pants or the lack of a belt, and we think the neck tie is incongruous with the looks luxe lounge vibe, but the robe is a stunner and we appreciate the overall oddness of the look, coming from someone blazing around the Best Actress awards track, with every reason to want to keep things standard and acceptable rather than weird or adventurous.
