We’re just so happy we’re living in a world where Colman Domingo is serving look after look for an awards season campaign. We’ve been covering these things for a good while now and we can’t remember anyone on an Oscar track who ever utilized his distinct combination of haute queer funk in their fashion choices. It’s luxe, it’s dandy, it’spure Black Excellence, time after time. We may quibble about a detail here and there now and then (we don’t always share his love of pointy white boots, for instance), but he gets it right pretty much every single time and he always shows up looking like no one else in the room. We don’t always love oversized suits and we usually tell guys to button up their shirts at formal events, but if you’ve got the swag and the fashion chops to pull it off, who are we to argue?
