It feels like we’ve written some minor variation on the following sentence a half-dozen times at least, so pardon us for the  repetitious phrasing. Killers of the Flower Moon star Lily Gladstone stopped by the Critics Choice Awards to pick up another trophy and serve another drop-dead look.

Oh, we forgot to mention: it’s also probably her best look. Christian Siriano has never been an adventurous, avant garde, or even forward-facing designer, but he is definitely the man you go to when you want to serve classic elegance with a touch of drama — especially if you’re not model-sized. The color looks great and the design feels like a very deliberate statement about her arrival on the scene. Once again, she’s wearing jewelry by an Indigenous designer; in this case, Apsaalooké jewelry artist and fashion designer Elias Jade Not Afraid. Once again, we feel like she picked the earrings first and had the dress designed to match it.
