The Crown is limping to its series finale after six seasons (and a disappointing launch to its final one), so cast members past, present and in the near future put on their spiffy togs and hit the red carpet to say goodbye.
Claudia Harrison
Sleek and timeless. It’s hard to get a dress like this wrong. She didn’t.
Elizabeth Debicki in Dior Couture
We can’t with this chick anymore. Imagine being model-shaped, having your pick of Dior Couture, and you walk away with a hospital gown.
Emma Corrin in Miu Miu
We love this fashion pixie so much. While we wouldn’t normally be all that excited about a Princess Diana actress doing Princess Diana cosplay on the red carpet, this is such a perfectly reinterpreted, yet still on point representation, of a look Di famously wore in Italy in 1985. We can’t say we love the sheer skirt on its own merits, but on them, and as an homage, it really works. Paying tribute to the woman they portrayed while staying true to their own non-binary self.
Gillian Anderson
This is rather pretty. We wish the corset were black.
Imelda Staunton
This is a great way to show up dressy enough, but also true to yourself and relatively unfussed. We’d have liked the suit in a deep color. LOVE the flats.
Lesley Manville in Huishan Zhang
The dress is fabulous, but the shoes are distracting. Should’ve opted for a bracelet or two.
Luther Ford, Meg Bellamy and Ed McVey
Luther’s working a ’90s cut of menswear, which we suppose is appropriate, although we’d rather see a well tailored suit. She looks fantastic. The fit is superb and the jewelry is really well chosen. LOVE Ed’s suit.
Olivia Williams
Lady, you had us until the scrolldown. That hem length is awful and we don’t think it’s possible to have chosen a worse pair of shoes to go with this.
