Lily James has been hitting the streets this week to promote her new film The Iron Claw. For a recent round of morning talk shows, she opted for a salt-and-pepper style approach; one black look, one white look.

Lest you think we’re totally opposed to the wearing of neutrals and whites among the celebrity set when they’re doing promotional work, we actually love this for her. It doesn’t take a great street shot (especially one with pre-dawn lighting), but on set, it practically glows with winter white goodness. It looks fine with the classic trench coat, but the slouchy boots are what really make the look. Not really feeling the severe hair.

Hunh. While we appreciate how different this look is from the previous one, we’re afraid we can’t sign off on those pleather-looking pants (which are almost certainly real leather, but they don’t look it). It’s not a bad look overall, but if you’re going to wear leather pants, they better be a great pair of leather pants. We also tend to think pumps are a terrible choice to pair with them. It’s boot weather, girl.
