Professionally pretty people Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney prettied themselves up even further for the New York premiere of their much-discussed if badly marketed rom com Anyone But You.
They’re… fine? Even for a rom com promotion, which tends to trade in middle-of-the-road, conservatively gender-specific styles, these are some blandly generic choices. Sure, you can argue that they’re both pretty enough to make anything look photogenic, but we would argue that they’re supposed to be working harder to make an unforgettable impression at this moment in their careers. This isn’t the time or place for “get it done,” workmanlike promotional fashion. Neither of them are wearing anything we haven’t seen a million times before and neither of them are wearing anything that plays to their particular strengths. They’re just…dressed.
