We might normally get a little huffy about stars overdressing for talk shows – especially Seth Meyers’ because it’s the most casual of the late night lot – but we don’t blame stylists for shoving their clients into every high end look they had to put back on the rack during the strike. In other words, we love this:

But we admit that a cape is way too much for a talk show appearance. It helps that the skirt is short and the shoes are sassy (which was smart), so it doesn’t come off too grandiose, but it’s clearly not an outfit designed for sitting. Still, she looks really cute in it. We just think it would have looked better on one of the red carpets she would have walked had the strike ended earlier (which is probably what it was selected for originally).
