It’s an ALL-TV TALK episode of the PSO as we flip on our mics and start spewing about a whole bunch of TV stuff we’ve been watching of late. First up, a little bit of a deep dive on queer representation, the trope of the tragic gay figure, and how both Showtime’s Fellow Travelers and Max’s Our Flag Means Death are handling these questions, but in very different ways.
We’ll be recapping Fellow Travelers starting this weekend and we’ll have an interview with Gypsy Taylor, the Our Flag Means Death costume designer early next week, by the way.
After that, it’s a series of reviews of the following TV shows: A Small Light on Hulu:
Loki season 2 on Disney Plus:
And Bodies, also on Netflix:
Be warned, Tom rather stupidly blurts out a minor spoiler regarding that last one, but we promise it won’t ruin your enjoyment of the series. Either way, you can fast forward through the first few minutes of that convo if you want to avoid it.
Much to discuss! Thank you for listening, darlings.
