Reese Witherspoon’s production company Hello Sunshine held its inaugural “Shine Away” event, described in the promo materials as an “experiential franchise, bringing fans and consumers together for a day of connection, entertainment, and joy,” to which we add a hearty and approving “Get your coin, girl.” Anyway, some of Reese’s best celebrity gal pals showed up to experience joy and serve looks.

It’s giving Director of Human Resources. It looks a lot better when she’s seated, but that skirt is kind of awful. Too many buttons happening here. Love the shoes.

It’s giving MLM Regional Associate Director, which is pretty damn on brand for her. This is the most “HEY GIRLFRIEND” look she’s worn in ages. Aging sorority sis at the country club really is her style sweet spot. None of this is to our tastes, but it’s such an accurate representation of her public persona that we find it impossible to critique. Sure, the Silly Putty pumps are a dull choice, but any time we picture an alternative, it gets away from the image she’s trying to convey.

It’s giving “I’m not fucking with this white lady nonsense” and we love her for it. She brought the wacky, and while we can’t claim to love her ensemble or call it chic, she’s exactly the “let’s not take things too seriously” vibe this situation needed. She’s an artist, not a corporate representative. Good for her for dressing like one.
