Taylor Swift took a short break from conquering stadiums all over the world in order to put on a semi-plain frock to attend the VMAs.
It’s okay. We know that’s damning with faint praise, but it does feel sort of elegant and grownup for the VMAs. Granted, this event has more or less become a “show up to model your panties” kind of thing in terms of style. We certainly can’t get mad that someone went for old school, restrained glam. And besides, she’s not a kid anymore. So we get it. We appreciate it. It’s nice. Then again, “nice” is probably setting the style bar a little low. From a design perspective. we’re not feeling the aggressive asymmetry. The whole thing looks a little twisted and askew. On the other hand, we love the necklaces and like the classic sandal.
