Jennifer Lawrence Promotes NO HARD FEELINGS at WWHL in Armani Privé

Jennifer Lawrence is in her Sex Comedy era and we couldn’t be happier for her. Her promo style for No Hard Feelings has been all over the map, but we’ve honestly kind of enjoyed that. We can’t really sit here and complain that a star is being unpredictable in their style, even if we haven’t always liked the choices made. This look, which she wore for Watch What Happens Live, is kind of a perfect example of what we’re talking about. It’s not so much chic or stylish as it is simply correct and on point.

It feels very New York to us, if you can call a sheer jumpsuit an example of New York style. Yes, girlfriend is working some big floaty pants here. But there’s a blasé sort of sexiness to it, like Carrie Bradshaw back when she smoked and had unruly hair and a purse full of rubbers. To be fair, we’re reacting well to the vibe more than the particulars. As much as we like the idea of pairing a structured jacket with such a disco-ready garment, we don’t actually think this one coordinates all that well with it. The accentuated shoulders and split sleeves feel a bit too severe for the rest of it. Not sure those strappy sandals are working all that well, either.
