Everything Everywhere All At Once star Michelle Yeoh picked up yet another trophy at the Golden Globes, which secures her status as an Oscar frontrunner. She gave a lovely, heartfelt, compassionate speech (pausing long enough to threaten the piano player), but for us, shallow queens that we are, it was all about the dress.
We don’t know if that even qualifies as a peplum, since it appears to be layered tiers of flounces, but we’re surprised to admit how much we love the silhouette here. Generally, we’re not the biggest fans of peplums or tiered skirts, but something about the elegant restraint of this design really appeals to us. The midnight blue looks amazing on her and there’s just the right amount of silver sparkle in it to keep it red carpet-glam and picture-ready. The necklace, bracelet and ring are pure stunners, perfectly chosen for the look. This may be the best she’s ever looked on a red carpet – and that’s saying something, since she’s never been a slouch in that area.
