Laura Dern stopped by Jimmy Kimmel’s place to chat up The Son and also to shut our mouths a little. See, earlier today, we took one look at Pedro Pascal’s outfit at the LA premiere of The Last of Us and intoned at length about how, when you choose to wear all black for a photographed or televised situation, you’re best off choosing a black that has some sort of embellishment or rich textural quality in order to give it some visual interest. Now? Now, we’re not so sure about that.
To be fair, we think the issue here has far less to do with the jacquard textile as it does with the rather awkward cut of the suit. It does look pretty great when she’s sitting down, though. In the end, that’s probably all that matters. We just wish they’d given her a full set of sleeves and a full pair of pants instead of these halfsies, which only tend to make her look like she outgrew her clothes.
