Of course we gave Janelle Monae the spotlight, and we thought it would be cute to feature Kate and Goldie, but the whole red carpet at the premiere of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery was a star-studded affair of cast members and supporters, working looks, which means it time for a lot of opinions, kittens. Let’s form them together.
Edward Norton and Shauna Robertson
That’s a nice suit, but we think it would look sharper with a black t-shirt, if a t-shirt must be worn with it. She looks perfectly fine.
Jessica Henwick in Tory Burch
It’s a little interesting, but we can’t shake the impression that she’s wearing a shower curtain. We think the sheer overlay works, but we’d have rather seen a more unified design under it, instead of a top and slightly contrasting skirt. We can’t imagine whoever lent her those diamonds was happy to see them so obscured.
Katherine Langford in Christian Dior
It’s giving classic Madonna with an updated sort of minimalism. She looks great, but we don’t love the wet look hair.
Kathryn Hahn in Carolina Herrera
Prior to WandaVision, we wouldn’t have been able to tell you a thing about Katheryn Hahn’s red carpet style, but now, thanks to to an impressive consistency in her choices, we can tell she goes crazy for basic separates with one really focus-pulling and usually pretty odd twist. She looks better in this than the design deserves because it looks like she was getting undressed in the middle of an argument and stopped to make really cutting point.
Kumail Nanjiani
It’s really interesting, but we think we’d like the color-blocking on the suit more if the shirt provided some contrast. We really think a white one was the way to go here.
Leslie Odom Jr.
Any man in the world who wants to can wear a fringed scarf and pearls, but it takes a special man to make the combination look hot. Love the outfit, hate the shoes.
Madelyn Cline in Atelier Versace
We like the combination of textiles, but we hate the way they’re used, especially that green velvet.
Natasha Lyonne in Solace London
She looks cutely chic and surprisingly low-key. Love all the rings, but we think a necklace was called for. Not sure at all about that hair.
Regé-Jean Page in Giorgio Armani
Meh. The jacket’s nice enough, but it’s pulling slightly. We don’t love the mock turtleneck, but the color scheme works well for him. We hate the pants and shoes.
