It’s kind of an odd design. It looks much better from far away – at least to our eyes. We don’t love the crystal-beaded yoke or the dangling crystals at the bustline. We also don’t love the shape of the bustline or the way the cape hangs on her. On the model (who is, of course, model-shaped), the cape hangs straighter and it gives the look an overall more elegant vibe. We’re not crazy about the way this cape comes in at the shoulders and then flares out at the upper arm. It gives the visual impression that it’s too small on her. We realize these complaints make it sound like we’ve already made up our minds on this one, but we keep coming back to the pictures to take more of it in. It’s dramatic and eye-catching and it suits her fairly well. Do our quibbles with the design matter? Put another way…
