Beyonce makes a rare appearance, because she doesn’t put on the shapewear and satin gloves for just anybody.  The Wearable Art Gala, is put on by Tina Knowles Lawson in support of the WACO Theater Center, which she co-founded with her husband Richard. Like a good daughter, Beyonce always shows up to lend her support.

The theme this year was Harlem Nights, but Miss Bey does not do things like themes or even red carpets, for the most part. Your girl saves the costumes for her stage work. This is fun and a little silly, but we wouldn’t exactly call it chic. Granted, it doesn’t have to be for an event like this. Surprisingly, Jay-Z is the one who’s serving the high fashion look here. Here looks great. They both do, actually. Just in different ways.
