The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan has a new western coming out and she hit Venice in a succession of look-at-me looks that, if nothing else, totally erase any Mrs. Maisel comparisons.

Perhaps the least practical disembarking-at-Venice outfit of the season. It’s a shame. We love the coat, but the proportions on the blouse and skirt are silly and tacky.

We hate to say this, because she can be pretty stylish at times, but these two looks are coming off a little forced if not tryhard. Not that we think she’s sporting a scandalous amount of skin or anything; just that we’re looking at two underwear-adjacent, size-too-small looks in one day. Love the skirt and necklace. We don’t actually mind the top but we think it would look much hotter with a pair of jeans.

As a design, it’s a little over-embellished in a borderline tacky way, but then again, that’s the whole point of Versace, is it not? She looks dead-sexy and like a world-class movie star.
