Anne Hathaway is here to tell us all that, despite how much those tiresome bitches Tom and Lorenzo whine about wanting to see it go away, the ubiquitous (and in our opinion, over-used) Valentino Pink is not budging.

As every style mag and trend spotter has been saying for the past month, Barbie Core is now a thing, thanks in large part to the pictures of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken that have been delighting everyone on social media this summer. When the fashion history of this rather tense and stressful period is written, we hope someone takes a good long look at why dressing like carefree fashion dolls suddenly became a trendy thing to do in the summer of 2022. Anyway, po-faced seriousness aside, we’re not really mad at this. It’s a fashion show, after all; perhaps the most appropriate venue in the world to dress like Barbie. We think the look is fun, but we don’t actually like all that much of it. That raised peplum/bust valance is a weird element, the bag looks cheap and juvenile and the shoes are a little on the ridiculous side.
