We were a little saddened to hear that Sandra Bullock is planning a career hiatus. Not that she doesn’t have the right or reason – she wants to devote her time to raising her kids – but she’s always a fun presence, both onscreen and as a celebrity to cover. And it’s even more of a shame to us because she announced this semi-retirement just as her public style has taken an unexpected turn toward the decidedly kooky.
Do we love it? No. Are we bored by it? Also no. Personally, we appreciate the choice for its slight weirdness, but that doesn’t make it any more photogenic, unfortunately. A design like this can’t help but overwhelm the wearer. You have to work to focus on her face and that’s not what red carpet style should be doing. Evidently she loves those booties, since she wore them with her previous kooky outfit.
