Director Rebecca Hall has been doing the promo rounds with the stars of Passing and we have to say, while it’s pretty clear none of them coordinated with each other, they all benefit from posing together because they all cut such a uniquely elegant figure. They each play to their own strengths and it comes together so well that some of the more … shall we say intense design elements seem to calm down a little in the company of other looks.

Having said that, we have notes. You could not possibly have expected otherwise. We love Tessa’s sense of adventure when it comes to fashion but it says something that this outfit looks better when as much as possible of it can be obscured. Ruth’s top and skirt absolutely work together as designed, but throwing a black blazer over them both just makes it all look like a mish-mash. She’d have been better off with that moto she wore last week. In related news, she’s got to give those red boots a rest. Rebecca looks great, but we have to believe there are better flat or low-heeled options for her than those slides. They look like the complimentary slippers you get in a hotel.
