Ed Sheeran in Versace at the GQ Men of the Year Awards

Before hitting the GQ Men of the Year red carpet, Ed Sheeran did the smartest thing any one can possibly do by way of preparation for that particular arena. He consulted the gays. More accurately, he consulted the one gay most qualified to opine on his attempt at pop star grandeur, Sir Elton John. “Before I came tonight I FaceTimed Elton to show him the results. He’s been slagging off my boring wardrobe for years. I’m not really a fashion guy but I’ve had to start to show an interest – he loves it. Elton approved — it’s very him.”

Not that Ed Sheeran should care what these two professional homosexuals think, but we’re in agreement with Sir Elton. It’s a fantastic jacket, it’s great he’s taking an interest in fashion, and we’re just so pleased that it’s not Dolce & Gabbana. Well done all around. Sir Elton, thank you for your service.
