We had no intention to turn this into a “Fuck Yeah Lady Gaga” blog this week, but we’re on vacation and we’ll take our content when we can get it – especially if that content is fashion-focused.

Hey, remember when we predicted that House of Gucci will either be a cinematic masterpiece or a camp classic? Looks like we got our answer as to which one it’s gonna be. Just listen to that absolute festival of cheesy-ass accents. Still, a bunch of Americans goofily trying to sound like Italians speaking English doesn’t necessarily speak to the film’s quality, but it does tend to give us pause on the idea that this will be another Oscar-grab for Gaga. But it’s a really fun and well-produced trailer and the whole thing just looks amazing, from the costume to the art direction to the wigs (of which there are enough to top the heads of an entire drag revue show).

It’s never a great idea to predict how a film’s going to do based on one trailer, but this really does look like a lot of fun once you get past the “spicy meataball” accent work.

House of Gucci is inspired by the shocking true story of the family empire behind the Italian fashion house of Gucci. Spanning three decades of love, betrayal, decadence, revenge, and ultimately murder, we see what a name means, what it’s worth, and how far a family will go for control.
