Pop Style Opinionfest: “Halston,” “Hacks” and the Future of the Red Carpet

Kittens, we flipped on the mics and spewed once again, but this time, we kept the topics a little on the lighter side. First up, you absolutely MUST watch Hacks on HBO Max this weekend.

Why? Well, we’ll tell you why, but you’ve gotta listen. We’re in the middle of the Jean Smartaissance and you need to get on board.

Next up, we react to the news that Laverne Cox will be making history by stepping in to fill Giuliana Rancic’s shoes as the host of E! Red Carpet Live. As two folks who’ve spent way more time watching Giuliana navigate that world than is healthy, we give our thoughts on her red carpet career, our hopes for Laverne’s tenure, and we even pay a compliment or two to Ryan Seacrest along the way.

And finally, to go along with the Halston review we’re putting up in a bit, we go into the details behind the historic Battle of Versailles, which is depicted in the second episode.
