It’s kind of an interesting time because we’re in that usual post-awards season celebrity style slump but it’s happening at the exact moment that the world is opening up again, so we’re seeing a slightly unseasonal uptick in celebrity promotional work. Long story short: we got some lewks to get to before we can hit happy hour, darlings. Get your judging pants on.

We absolutely refused to give this look its own post because we didn’t want to trash it. Love her, and with the full admission that fashion doesn’t offer enough choices for plus-size actresses, we just can’t sign off on this juvenile frock and the way it’s styled.
Angela Bassett in Zadig & Voltaire
It may not be pushing the envelope, but you can’t go wrong with a bright pantsuit and colorful t-shirt combination. The shoes are terrible, though.
Busy Philipps in Chanel
Another look that’s not exactly avant garde, but it doesn’t matter. It’s a classic look that suits her really well. She looks cute.
Jane Levy in Duro Olowu
This is a really interesting dress that almost tips over into being too busy for pictures, but it looks great on her. Love the shoes, but they don’t really go.

We would have nothing but nice things to say about this ensemble if it didn’t have those stupid buttonholes.

Can’t blame a girl for wanting to be a little over-dressed for the occasion. She looks fab, but we have to say the hair clashes a little.
Tracee Ellis Ross in Cult Gaia
We are a thousand percent sure we’d hate this dress on any other wearer in any other setting. This is the only place and the only person for it.
