Friday Leftovers for the Week of April 11th 2021

Posted on April 16, 2021

Darlings, the stars came out for a variety of reasons this week and some of them even wore semi-interesting looks. Let’s judge all the ones we didn’t get to yet, shall we? It’s a bit of a tradition.

Allison Janney in Dundas

Welp, she’s not completely done with the pantsuits, but if she wants to wear Prince’s old castoffs, we don’t mind it.

Ilana Glazer in Christian Siriano

A reminder that when Christian was on Project Runway (and we were much bitchier), we dubbed him “Princess Puffysleeves.” This is a really cute look and she’s clearly feeling it.

Jurnee Smollett in Louis Vuitton (Look) and Roger Vivier (Shoes)

If she was on a red carpet, we’d probably sniff a little at the high slit AND the plunging neckline, but since it’s a backyard serve, girlfriend may as well go for it. It’s a super-hot look and we love the weirdness of the boots.

Katy Perry in Bottega Veneta

We would urge Katy Perry to not feel bad about this, because there’s no way anyone could make a sky blue vinyl dress work for them.

Lana Condor in Lela Rose

This manages being a little cutely chic and kickass at the same time.

Mandy Moore in Staud

There’s something a little early-aughts about the style and we’re not inclined to praise a dress with side cutouts, but she looks surprisingly good in this.

Nicola Coughlan in Christopher Kane

Girlfriend loves an exuberant detail like those sleeves, but this is the most restrained look we’ve ever seen from her – and she looks fantastic.

Sofia Vergara in Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara

Not to overpraise this, because you can see some version of it in just about any suburban Target parking lot, but she looks cute and it’s refreshing to see her in such a relaxed look.

Sofia Vergara in Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara

Ditto. Even with both unfortunate pairs of jeans.

Soko in Marine Serre (Top) and Cinq à Sept (Dress)

Absolutely love the sheer weirdness of this.

Sophie Cookson in Giorgio Armani

You know what fashion needs more of? Epaulets.
