Miss Maisie’s commitment to hitting the spring 2021 shows come hell or high water is admirable and we support her efforts wholeheartedly. But we need to discuss this:
The sweater’s pretty cute, but everything from the waist down just puzzles us. We get that the point is to play with proportions and expectations. We think the return of the wide-legged pant is a good thing and there are many chic ways to deploy them. But she looks like she’s wearing her dad’s clothes under her favorite sweater. It’s just not working for us. Those gigantic beige middle-management things get more horrifying the longer we look at them.
