We cannot even say how grateful we are when celebrities manage to spiffy themselves up for whatever passes for public appearances these days. We know every one’s living their lives in canvas footwear and stretch fabrics at the moment, but that’s all the more reason to turn our lonely eyes to the world of celebrity to give us all something to look at, to aspire to, and/or to judge. We love every single bit of this outfit and we wouldn’t change a thing. We’d love to own it, but we don’t think we’d be able to pull off the pattern mismatch between the shirt and sweater half as well as he is. Once again, we’re looking at a celebrity man dressed for fall when we’re all feeling like it’s high summer, but celebs always dress half a season ahead from mere mortals. We think it must feel more pronounced somehow under these new rules.

And we think it may have been a mistake. That pattern is way too overwhelming for a Zoom interview, we’re afraid.
