Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee established his brand label Sabyasachi in 1999 after graduating from the National Institute of Fashion Design. He debuted his first line in 2002 during India Fashion Week and has won several design awards, including Most Outstanding Young Fashion Designer of India, the Grand Prize at the New Asia Fashion Week in Singapore, as well as others from Mercedez-Benz New Asia Fashion Week and Lakmé Fashion Week. He also has the distinction of being the first Indian designer to show at Milan Fashion Week. He’s also one of the top costume designers in the Indian film industry, for films such as Guzaarish, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and English Vinglish. He also has extremely popular bridal and jewelry lines. We aren’t really qualified to speak critically or with any great depth about his designs, which is fine by us because we’re perfectly happy to just sit here in awe of how freaking gorgeous it all is.
