Brown is definitely having an oddly timed mid-winter moment. But the last few years in fashion have been all about rejecting or questioning the idea of seasonal colors so a post-New Year trend for brown seems kind of inevitable in retrospect. Anyway, we like-not-love this:
That is to say, we like the idea of this look more than the reality of it. Those browns don’t coordinate all that well and the cut of the suit is odd – blocky jacket, tight straight-legged pants with a split. Add a white manicure and a pair of clashy (and incredibly focus-pulling) boots and it all feels way too haphazard and random to us. It could work, but it needs finessing.
