Grammy Awards 2020: Lizzo in Atelier Versace

Just when we thought we had Miss Lizzo figured out, girlfriend went and stepped up her game. We don’t want to call her “Most Improved,” because that implies we had issues with her usual sort of style, which relies on costume and stage wear more than high-fashion tropes. We think it’s safe to say a good deal of her promotional style choices are fueled by the idea of promoting self-confidence and self-love, both of which serve as her brand as well as her personal philosophy. But tonight was a night for showing the world that she can take things in any direction she’d like to go and on this night, she chose old-school high glamour and world-class polish.
