It’s the CDGAs and, as we noted earlier, it’s a time and a place to go a little wild with your fashion; to worry less about big name designers or the latest trends and just put on a persona for the night. Charlize chose to be a classic Screen Siren and Constance here? Well…
Apparently she’s a confused magician of some sort.
We tend to think a design like this – which is, let’s be clear, something of a huge cliche – should have a bit more of a half-and-half sort of feel. It should be playing with the idea of gender as a costume, rather than looking like she borrowed her man’s jacket and it’s in the process of sliding off her. And the shoes are honestly pretty goofy. But we’re feeling magnanimous because, even though we think this is stale and borderline tacky, we thing she gets a pass for having some fun on a night that calls for it.
