Shoutout to Miss Awkwafina, who deserved a better kind of week but still came out looking like a star and grinning like a winner.

It looks like a pretty great dress. We say it that way because we don’t think it’s a particularly photogenic one, but we get the impression it must have been a lot more impressive in person. Small scale prints in neutral colors simply don’t read well under the standard red carpet lighting conditions. But the style really suits her (a little to our surprise, since it’s so girly and romantic) and it definitely gives off the whiff of “Prestige Actress,” which is pretty much her remaining red carpet goal for awards season. We just wish this was rendered in brighter, richer colors.
