We don’t know if J Lo’s gonna live up to the well-earned hype of her Hustlers portrayal and snag herself an Oscar nomination. All we know is she sure is dressing like it’s a foregone conclusion. Then again, Miss Jenny has a long history of nailing the red carpet. To that we would counter that these two looks are unusually rich and eye-catching compared to her usual fare. Let’s go to the tape. And by that we mean scroll down.

That’s just perfectly fabulous New York sidewalk high style. It’s rich, it’s warm, it’s photogenic, and it looks fantastic on her. If we have to quibble about anything – and you know us; we just have to – we think the boots are a little too big and slouchy for the cut of that skirt. We’d have steered her toward a leather pair that hugged the leg a little more.

Wow. You had us completely until we got to the shoes. Talk about focus-pulling. The hair? Dragtastic. The face? Beat to the gods (even if a stronger lip is called for). The dress? Eye-catching, unique, luxurious. The shoes? Big.
They’re actually perfectly fine shoes, but given the hem length, neither platforms not ankle straps should have even been considered here. Granted, if we had a magic wand with one wish left on it, we’d probably fix the hem length.
