Style File: “Castle Rock” Star Lizzy Caplan in Adeam and Ermanno Scervino

Posted on October 23, 2019

Miss Lizzy’s getting some buzz for her portrayal of iconic Stephen King villain Annie Wilkes in the upcoming second season of Castle Rock. Since she’s always been a fashiony gal with seriously strong and idiosyncratic tastes (our very favorite kind of celebrity lady), and Annie’s kind of a famously frumpy role, we’re not surprised she’s coming out super-strong for the promotional work.

Normally, if we’re saying someone looks like a 1970s art teacher, that’s not really much of a compliment, but she is serving us Chic 1970s Art Teacher and that makes all the difference. Yes, that vest would be an amazing coat if it had sleeves, but we love how odd and eye-catching it is as part of matched ensemble. We could do without the scarf.

This is just straight-up great. It’s got a sexy, punky sort of vibe to it, but comfortable and covered. We don’t actually care about the latter, but years of doing this have shown that too skimpy or revealing an outfit has left many a ladystar looking regretful and distracted on a talk show set.
