If you’re already thinking “Oh geez, this looks like a whole lot of Miu Miu nonsense coming into my field of view,” you would be RIGHT. But you would also not have the full picture – quite literally, darlings! Prepare yourself for a SCROLLDOWN SURPRISE:
Yes, the Miu Miu nonsense just kept right on going, from the fluffy muppet hem to the sparkly 1930s chorus girl shoes. And you know? It’s kind of working for us – all of it. As Elle Fanning knows well, when you go Miu Miu, you best go all in. Don’t fight it. Ride that girly-twee wave. She looks like a twelve-year-old girly-girl’s favorite back-to-school pen – and THAT is just about the best Miu Miu description we’ve ever devised.
Having said that, as much as we kind of appreciate the lean-in here, and as well-suited to the brand aesthetic as Miss Tessa is, we’re struggling with the black collar/brown belt/white bag/silver shoe combo. We would never claim these elements all need to match, but they’re so aggressively uncoordinated here. At the very least ditch the brown. The ensemble doesn’t call for it.
