Miss Julianne’s out here at Cannes, doing the damn style work and making sure to not bore us. We appreciate and applaud her efforts. But we’re still gonna judge them.

She seems to have discovered sparkle, ruffles and the color green all at once, because these elements keep popping up in her style choices of late. Honestly, as much as we want to praise this for being exuberant, we really don’t like the shape and the style feels distinctly juvenile.

This is … a lot. If you take away the hellaciously distracting black elements and the somewhat tacky beading, we suppose there’s an eye-catching outfit in there somewhere. But it’s all so wildly overdesigned that even if we stripped it of the aforementioned aspects, it would still seem like too much. The colors look great on her and we appreciate the slightly relaxed shape, but this look needs a ton of edits to work.

What a gorgeous gown. This looks fantastic on her because it’s so unexpected. She rarely wears navy blue or patterns. The result is boldly dramatic but comes off elegantly understated. Unfortunately, it’s not the best gown for showing off that Chopard jewelry, but what are you gonna do for a Chopard party? Say no?
