We love this cast and with the news that season 2 is going to feature none other than Miss Patti Lupone, we’re more excited than ever about the show’s return. Having said that, some truths need to be told here.
HARD truths.
Billy Porter
Mister, we love you and we’ve been right there, finger-snapping all of your fashion choices and imploring you to werq them, bitch. But we’re afraid this is the stop where we get off. That much satin at once is too much satin at once. And the jacket makes no kind of sense with it. We’re all for pushing the envelope in men’s fashion, but if the resulting looks aren’t fierce, then what’s the point?
Dominique Jackson in Alexis
The jumpsuit is fine, but she’d be better served in something with a lot more color or a bolder pattern than this. And we can’t imagine a worse shoe with it than a beige pointy-toe’d D’Orsay pump. Tonally, it just feels way off.
Mj Rodriguez in Prabal Gurung
She’s got a knack for working the hard-to-work. This looks fabulous on her, but we’re pretty sure most other wearers would find it difficult to pull off. The weird neckline, side cutouts and totally out-of-left-field orange cord tie almost feel like they’re actively working to make this dress as hard to wear as possible. She’s making it look easy.
Indya Moore in Altuzarra
This is perfectly suited to her but it sure does look like she’s not sporting any underwear – and girl? You kind of have to with a dress like this. In public, anyway.
