Once again, Miss Lupita saves our sorry yet perky asses. There was nothing of worth happening on the celebrity style front today, and while we’re somewhat happy for the break in posting since we’re so close to deadline on our book and will take any waking moment to work on it, we nonetheless spent the morning feel anxious that we were letting you kittens down by forcing you to face a work day without the blessing of our obnoxious opinions.
But Lupita’s riding a career and promotional high right now with the over-the-top success of Us, and she’s not the kind of gal who shirks her spotlight-grabbing duties when the spotlight is good and hot. In other words, here she is, serving up super-cute and lightly chic day wear:
The sweater is just a skosh too snug and if we’re being perfectly honest, we think the skirt is overdesigned, but the colors here are gorgeous. The touches of pink and coral in the bag and the skirt take the green and oranges away from looking too autumnal for this time of year. And as always, the shades are killer.
Thank you for the parade, Miss Nyong’o. You’ve saved us once again.
