Every year, Charlize Theron throws a celebrity block party in support of her charitable organization The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Program. This year, her The Old Guard 2 co-star Kiki Layne came out to serve some looks with her on the red carpet.

We’re not gonna get nitpicky or bitchy about charity red carpet appearances, although we’re not naive about their usefulness to celebrities and their promotional work. Besides, we kinda … well, “like” is probably overstating it when it comes to Kiki’s ensemble. “Enjoy” is probably closer. Charlize looks great. It’s a chic, effortless sort of look that makes us think this is where her true style preferences lie; not with all of those goofy/thirsty getups she tends to wear during premieres. As for Kiki, we’re never gonna sign off on that much white lace on someone who isn’t in the process of getting married, but we can’t deny it really pops on her and that the design is interesting and unexpected. If nothing else, it takes a great picture.
