Sandy, we were excited when you started eschewing the slinky metallic gowns that had defined your (one and only) red carpet look for so long. You started embracing bold colors and different shapes! It was a glorious time. So we have to ask, dear: Why the backslide now?
Sure, it’s boldly colored, but it’s not the first or even the twelfth metallic Ferretti gown we’ve seen you in. This doesn’t feel fresh, is what we’re saying. One-shoulder necklines are in and boldly offbeat autumn/winter colors are in. Even so, this tends to look like a whole lot of gowns you’ve worn over the years. We wish the design were different, but we think we’d have a better time accepting this dress if the color was a bit more flattering. No woman should be expected to handle that much chartreuse at once.
Fab earrings, though.
