Darlings, your fave stars all grabbed a Gucci dress off the pile and headed on out to model them at the yearly LACMA Gala. All but one of them, that is.
Andra Day in Gucci
And a very Merry Christmas to you as well, Andra Day.
Billie Lourd in Gucci
This dress is doing you wrong, Miss Billie. The neckline, sleeves and waist are all badly position/proportioned for you. And the textile’s kind of ugly.
Courtney Love in Gucci
All things considered – like, head-to-toe yellow satin – she’s doing a better job with this than we might have predicted. The style, including that massive bow, works pretty well for her. But the satin is too wrinkly and the color is simply impossible for her to pull off well.
Kiki Layne in Gucci
This feels like a once-stunning dress that fell victim to an overzealous designer. Or some sort of mold or fungus. The black things on the skirt we could live with, but the pink things on her arms are simply too ridiculous.
Is it us or does this not look like Kim circa 2010 or so?
Lana Del Rey in Gucci
The witchy thing works really well for her, but we can’t get behind whatever the hell’s going on with those sleeves/gloves.
Paris Jackson in Gucci
On the one hand, we want to give her credit for going her own way and picking something a bit different from the other looks on the RC. On the other hand, that dress looks like Princess Leia guest-starring on Dynasty and those shoes are totally the work of Satan.
Salma Hayek in Gucci
WERQ, LADY. ‘Bout time you nailed one of these to the wall, dear. You look amazing.
And finally, the Girl Who Wouldn’t Gucci…
Zoë Kravitz in Gabriela Hearst
It’s surprising that she of all people eschewed the wilder Gucci stuff for this fairly respectable and conservative choice. But sometimes, the unexpectedly traditional can come off like a savvy and stylish choice for those who don’t go that route often. She looks great. We question the bag, though.
