One final glitzy Cannes Film Festival premiere red carpet rundown before we clean out our Cannes folders completely. The stars came out in their sparkles for the premiere of The Birthday Party.

You can always count on her to bring it to the red carpet. The design is gorgeous and the color looks amazing on her. The wrap only serves to distract. It’s not needed.

It’s a dramatic gown, but we think it has a mature vibe to it that works against her own youth and the styling choices — in particular, that hair, which does not work at all.

Eva Longoria in Tamara Ralph  Couture

It’s fine. It’s pretty much the same as a thousand other Eva Longoria gowns. The fan bodice works, but we don’t like the gathering under it, or the randomness of the beading.

This is fun and eye-catching, but the styling feels a bit lacking. To be fair, that bodice prevents the deployment of a pendant and it even tends to discourage chandelier earrings, so the best she can do to dress it up is with hand jewelry. She did okay in that area, which leads us to think that there isn’t much you can to do to style this.

It’s neither the worst lace dress we’ve seen lately, but it’s far from the most interesting. It’s fine, we guess. A bit too shiny, and she’s have been better off just lining the whole thing, but we suppose it’s inoffensive. Yes, we’re damning/praising it as faintly as we can.

Sexy Grandpa still looks great, although we’d have liked a contrasting tie.
