Miss Janelle has clearly found her new favorite look and like her last one, she’s going to keep interpreting it over and over again.
And y’know? As long as she steps out looking like this:
Janelle Monáe attends the 2015 CFDA Awards at Lincoln Center in New York City in a Tadashi Shoji white and gold embroidered cape dress paired with an Edie Parker clutch, jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira, and Christian Louboutin sandals.
We have no problem with that. Sure, her black suits got a little tired before she finally retired them, but like we said yesterday, we just love that she took herself in an entirely new direction on the style front while still remaining somehow true to herself. These majestic-looking capes are somehow so right for her.
Besides, if there’s anyone who probably should integrate more capes into their life, it’s her. She looks like some sort of sci-fi cult leader.
And that hair is positively SLAYING THE ROOM.
