We can’t imagine this working on any other human being but we think it looks pretty fabulous on her. Partly, it’s because we’re happy to see her break out of her years-long uniform of dark suits. But mostly it’s because she managed to make that break, go in a completely different style direction, and still look entirely and uniquely herself. That’s true style. Yes, these pieces are odd and hard to make sense of, but overall, the look manages a strange halfway point between exuberance and restraint that just makes sense for her. The only parts we don’t like are the fringe-y sandals.
