Anna Sui Spring 2015 Collection
Attending the Anna Sui show is one of the highlights of Fashion Week, because you are always going to be treated to a show that can best be described as sensual, in every, um, sense of the word. It’s hippy-dippy chic shot through a 21st Century lens of fabulous fierceness and attitude; with a level of impeccable glamour that even Glam Rock would have liked to have aspired to. Anna Sui has an extremely well-defined aesthetic that can best be described as part Haight-Ashbury, part Tiger Beat cover, all rock and roll. It’s retro in a way that no one else does retro. And as always, it’s a glittering homage to the idea of freaks and weirdos waving their flags and flicking their middle fingers at the world.
Come on. Don’t you want to try on a giant pair of velvet bell bottoms? Just once?
