Kate Mara in Christian Dior at the 2014 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

This may sound like a strange thing to say, coming from two queens who seem to have spent most of the last eight years yelling at celebrities for being afraid of color, but we’re about ready for the current trend for yellow to end. Every once in a while, the fashion world manages to convince otherwise intelligent and level-headed people that they can make this color work with their skin tone and not make them look like a bumblebee or a nauseated chicken.

Girl, that is SO very not your color. In fact, we’re pretty sure it’s no one’s color, unless one is dressed as an overcooked egg for Halloween.

Also: it looks like an extreme close-up of a dress handmade by an 8-year-old for her Barbie out of paper towels and a scrap of felt.

It’s true and you know it.
