Hit it, ladies!
Taylor Schilling in Monique Lhuillier
Interesting. Kind of dark and weird. We respect that. But we’d have liked about a foot of fabric hacked off those sleeves and that hem. Also, the match, over-sized Olive Oyl shoes bug.
Laverne is wearing a design from Project Runway finalist Viktor Luna. Attagirl and attaboy. This is one of the best looks we’ve seen her in. She tends toward looks that veer too far into drag – skin tight and sequined, for instance; with fishnets – but we hope she’s learning that she can dress for the red carpet in more interesting garments, with eye-catching detailing. We’ve also felt she’d benefit from a little edge or hardness in her looks, but we can understand why a transgender woman might want to avoid that aesthetic. This gives her that slight edginess. The makeup’s looking pretty fierce too.
Taryn Manning in Nicolas Jebran
OOOh, girl. That is not your hair; not your makeup; not your dress. It’s all wrong, dear.
The dress looks great on her, but it’s totally bridal. And that lip color is crazy-wrong.
She’s adorable, but nothing looks like it goes with anything else here.
A little on the “Vegas party girl” side of the aisle.
Honey, we don’t care whose name is on the label, this schmatta is doing you no favors.
Laura Prepon in Gustavo Cadile
She looks more and more like the hostess of a late night Chiller Theater-style show every time we see her.
