Domenico and Stefano took one look around them at the candy-colored menswear dominating the season and loudly declared “NO.”
Eschewing the bright colors that everyone else seems to be embracing, they offered up a collection of crisp, masculine looks rendered in very muted tones of burgundy, bottle green, brown, gray, and of course, black and white. Conceptually, the focus was on their chosen motif of nets, with shirts, jackets, and pants all made by strips of leather and material woven into a large mesh that evoke netting. Many of them are interesting, but look extremely difficult to wear well. The pants are pleated and cuffed (even the shorts) and evoke that old school working man Italian aesthetic that they love so much. Some of it probably wouldn’t work for us, but in our fantasy world where we get to buy entire collections of menswear at once, we’re still arguing over which one of us gets which pieces.
